Competition Terms – NYC Half Giveaway (the “Prize Draw”)

1. The host and promoter of this Prize Draw are The Run Buddy Ltd (company number 13135343) which is a company registered in England and has its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ (the “Promoters”).
2. Runna shall select 1 winner of the Prize Draw (the “Winner”).  
3. The Winner of the Prize Draw will receive:
   
   1. 1 Entry to the 2025 NYC Half: 
   2. Reimbursement of up to £500 for hotel accommodation costs incurred during participation in the NYC Half. The reimbursement is subject to the following conditions:
      
      1. The hotel stay must correspond to the dates of the NYC Half.
      2. Receipts must be provided to claim the reimbursement.
   3. Reimbursement of up to £500 for flights to New York for participation in the NYC Half. The reimbursement is subject to the following conditions:
      
      1. Flights must be booked for travel dates that align with participation in the NYC Half.
      2. Receipts must be provided to claim the reimbursement.
   4. A complimentary 12-month membership to Runna.
   5. A full Runna kit to wear during the NYC Half. Details of the kit’s contents will be shared with the winner.

4. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered. You are responsible for paying any taxes, duties, or other charges that may be levied on the prize in your jurisdiction of residence or elsewhere (to the extent there are any applicable to your country). The Promoters are not responsible for any such charges.
5. The Prize must be claimed and used solely for participation in the NYC Half.
6. The NYC Half entry and Runna membership are subject to the respective terms and conditions of NYRR and Runna.
7. Any additional expenses, including but not limited to travel insurance, meals, transportation, and other incidentals, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.  The Winner:
   
   1. is responsible for making all necessary arrangements for travel and accommodation related to participation in the NYC Half;
   2. agrees to wear the Runna kit during the NYC Half; and 
   3. must comply with the rules and regulations of the NYC Half and any instructions provided by Runna.
8. By entering the Prize Draw, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
9. The Prize Draw is open to everyone aged 18 and over.  The Prize Draw is not open to employees and ambassadors of the Promoters and their immediate families, as well as any other persons professionally connected with the Prize Draw.
10. The Prize Draw is open from 28 January 2025 and will close at midday in the UK on 14 February 2025 (the “Promotional Period”).  However, the Promoters may extend the promotion at its discretion.  Late entries will not be accepted.
11. To enter the Prize Draw, you must: 
    
    1. Follow the Runna account on Instagram (no purchase or payment necessary); 
    2. Like the post on the Runna Instagram account announcing this Prize Draw; and 
    3. Tag a friend in the comments on the Runna Instagram account announcing this Prize Draw. 
       
       during the Promotional Period. 
    4. You may also share the post on the Runna Instagram account announcing this Prize Draw to your Instagram story (also during the Promotional Period) to gain an extra entry to the Prize Draw.

12. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Prize Draw. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. 
13. The Winner will be selected in a random draw from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period. The draw will take place no later than seven (7) days following the end of the Promotional Period.
14. The Winner will be notified within five (5) days of the draw via Instagram Direct Message or other appropriate means.  If the Winner fails to respond providing proof of age within five (5) days of this notification, or declines their prize, they will forfeit the prize and a redraw will take place from the remaining valid entries to select a new winner.
15. The Promoter may in its discretion offer an alternative prize which will have a broadly equivalent value.  In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control, the Promoters may also modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw without prior notice.
16. The Promoter may exclude any entries that they, in their sole discretion, consider to be inappropriate, unrelated, offensive, or in violation of these terms and conditions or any applicable laws or regulations.  The Promoter may also disqualify any entries if it, in its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the Prize Draw.
17. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the operation of any part of the Prize Draw, the decision of the Promoter shall be final.
18. Runna will use your personal data to administer the competition and in accordance with Runna’s Privacy Policy, which you can find here.
19. The Promoter accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Prize Draw or as a result of accepting the Prize or any prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any network, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any entry to be received on account of technical or connectivity problems, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the entrant’s or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in the Prize Draw.
20. The Promoter cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, and transport providers.
21. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude the Promoter’s liability for:
    
    1. death or personal injury caused by its negligence;
    2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
    3. any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.
22. Subject to the paragraph above, the Promoter’s total liability to any entrant or Winner, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with the Prize Draw shall be limited to the value of the Prize.
23. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England.
